Tasks overview
Updated over 10 months ago

Tasks are the pulse of task lists. These are the actionable items within Task Lists that need to be completed. There are two types of tasks, standard tasks and food prep tasks.

Any task due on the current day you are viewing is indicated by a purple strip along the left-side of the task and parent rows (orange represents incomplete and green complete). By default, standard tasks will appear as due on the days they are set to be complete. However, food prep tasks are only marked as due if a prep count is set.

If a task has a start time and due time set, this will appear underneath the task name. For food prep tasks, the unit of measurement indication is also included underneath the task name.

At any time you can view additional details of a task like supporting descriptions, and photo and video media by clicking the dropdown arrow.

In the footer of each task contains the ability to add comments, and also by way of the ellipsis to see more details about a task, including assignees, unit of measurements, and par count settings.

When a task is marked completed, the details about who completed it, and timestamp will appear in the task details.

Task Filtering

There are a few view filters to choose from within tasks to better manage your workflow.

All: default view option that will show all tasks regardless if they're due or completed

All Due: this will only show the tasks that are currently due for that day

My Tasks: this will show tasks that have only been assigned to you for that day

Completed: this will show only the tasks that have been completed so far on that day

To access these options, click "View" at the top of Task Lists view.

Task Roles

If your account has roles setup, users with just the view task lists permissions will only see tasks within the list(s) which their roles are assigned to. Roles are a great way to filter out the visual noise of other lists so users can focus on what's only pertinent to them.
