This article is specific to the Bixolon SLP-DX220BG printer. This model includes Bluetooth which is the primary printing method with opsi.
You can print prep labels for both opsi Items and Recipes. Before printing labels you’ll want to ensure the items and recipes have a shelf life defined.

Adding a shelf life to items
There are two shelf life fields for an item - a primary shelf life (the shelf life in the raw form that the item is "Received") and a shelf life for each prep method created on that item (the shelf life for different "Prepared" methods).
Edit the item and enter a primary shelf life.
If you wish to have shelf life options based on prep methods, add the prep method (if not already created) and specify the shelf life.
Save when you are done making updates.

Edit the recipe and look for the "Shelf Life" field in the "General" tab.
Enter the shelf life details and save when you are done making updates.

Print Item Labels
To print a label for an item, tap the three dots next to the item name and choose “Print Label”. You can also open the item and tap the three dots at the top right to access the same print option.
You’ll be prompted to enter the label type of either “Prepared” or “Received”.
If choosing “Prepared”, if any prep methods are defined with shelf lifes you can choose too print a label against that.
The “Use by” date will auto calculate based on the item’s shelf life. You can override this if necessary.
Input the number of copies you wish to print.
Tap “Print” at the top right.

To print a label for a recipe, tap the three dots next to the recipe name and choose “Print Label”. You can also open the recipe and tap the three dots at the top right to access the same print option.
The “Use by” date will auto calculate based on the recipe's shelf life. You can override this if necessary.
Input the number of copies you wish to print.
Tap “Print” at the top right. The label will print as a "Prepared" prep label.

To print a nutrition label for a recipe, tap the three dots next to the recipe name and choose “Print Nutrition Label”. You can also open the recipe and tap the three dots at the top right to access the same print option.
Enter the number of copies you wish to print for that label.
Tap "Print" at the top right.
Your labels will now print! If you have the auto-cutter assembly each label will be cut independently.
