Adding a waste log

Please note: only users with the "Edit Inventory" permission can take add waste.

Opsi lets you track and log waste in real time, helping you maintain accurate inventory records and gain clearer insight into where and why loss is occurring.

To record waste:

Desktop steps

1. Click to the "Inventory" page.


2. Click "View" and select "Waste".


3. Click the green "+" button to create a new waste entry.


4. Enter all details of the waste including selecting the item and entering a quantity and unit amount. Note: the unit selection is limited to the inventory units you have defined on the item.


5. Click "Save".

Mobile steps

1. Tap to the "Inventory" view.


2. Tap the down arrow next to "Inventory Counts".


3. Choose "Waste".


4. Tap "Add".


4. Enter all details of the waste including selecting the item and entering a quantity and unit amount. Note: the unit selection is limited to the inventory units you have defined on the item.


5. Tap "Save".
